Are you good at persuading people?
- Yes
- Sometimes
- Not so much
Often, the success of our undertakings largely depends on the ability to persuade other people to take our point of view. But doing this is not so simple, even if truth and common sense are on our side.
The ability to persuade is a rare but very useful gift. In general, persuasion is a way of influencing the consciousness of people by turning to their critical perception. The essence of the persuasion, first of all, is that through logical argument, achieve, at first, the interlocutor’s internal consensus with certain conclusions, and then on this basis, create and reinforce new or transform the old perceptions that correspond to the set goals. Not all people have the ability to be heard when it’s especially needed.
Capacity to speak in a way that others understand and, most importantly, don’t remain indifferent to what has been said – for this talent one can give a lot, especially if one’s work depends on negotiating with people and influencing their subsequent decisions.
Therefore sometimes it is highly important to be able to quietly, but persistently “push” your conversation partner in order, finally, to get what you need. Also, if you know the tricks of persuasion, then you can easily determine if someone will try to influence you using these techniques.
So, can you persuade people?
- None
