15-20 years ago, nobody could even suspect the existence of virtual love, because, in essence, it did not exist. This phenomenon has appeared on the terrains of the World Wide Web, and now it’s not necessary to fall in love with a fellow worker or a fellow student since the possible range of communication is not limited to your usual habitat and can spread even to the most remote corners of our planet.
There is a significant amount of controversy over the virtual love. Some believe that words and emotions are the primary weapons of virtual love that can create the atmosphere of a fairy tale that is being created by two people. Moreover, in this tale, each participant of the conversation may pose as a handsome prince or a beautiful princess, and most importantly, the real state of things may never be known. Typically, such romantic “adventures” attract lonely people who are looking for communication or some kind of feelings, people who have already achieved some success in romance and relationships but somehow got disappointed. Everything begins with the usual dialogue of banal phrases and gradually a person feels how strongly they are attached to the conversation partner.
However, a significant number of people are skeptical of this kind of phenomenon: indeed, should one believe the words of an entirely unknown person whom you may never see in your life. Of course, the emotions of such communication are real, but the person feels them, rather, to the image that the partner managed to create in the chat. Moreover, in virtual love and relationships, people are deprived of the opportunity to touch, hug or kiss each other. This means that all your walks under the moon and romantic encounters with significant probability will remain only the fruit of your imagination and fantasy.
So, do you think virtual love is possible?
Rather no, but am unsure.
