If I miss an important call, I’ll usually…

People always strive to save time; those who are really busy will watch every minute, trying to use it as efficiently as possible even if it’s just a few minutes. For example, why waste time and write a thank-you or well-wishing text message to a person, if you can simply call? Or vice versa: is it expedient to leave voice messages when the person you call does not return them? It’s easier to write them an SMS message, so they call back when they can talk. Also, just imagine how long it takes – first to access the voicemail, then to listen to the message “Hi, that’s me, call me when you can…” E-mail does not require such particulars. Although writing is not always appropriate, either. Sometimes it’s easier to call.
- Listen to the voicemail first
- Return it immediately
