Do you lend money to friends?

So many times we heard the words “If you want to lose a friend lend him money”.
If your friend is asking you for a loan, it’s likely because she cannot get credit from a bank or credit union. And there is likely a good reason that she can’t get a loan from a lending institution. But from the other side, it’s very hard to refuse a friend in need.
