Are you responsible?
- Yes
- Sometimes, I might have a lapse here or there
- No
We all are responsible for something and the older we become, the greater the burden of responsibility. We are responsible for everything we do and for everything we don’t do. Sometimes it seems easier not to take responsibility, but in this case, we become a toy in other people’s hands, and we live according to the rules of others.
The responsible person is one who tries to do everything in the best and timely manner. In a difficult situation, such a person does everything that is expected of them, without moving their problems and difficulties to the shoulders of others. The responsible person is in charge of the choice of their actions, and for their inactivity, for the manifestation of the initiative and for finishing a task, for the result and the consequences. For every one of us comes in life a moment when we understand that nobody will take responsibility and we have to do it ourselves.
In teamwork matters, the ability to take responsibility and perform is one of the main criteria for deciding when promoting a person on the career path. Responsibility is always the basis of leadership and growth of the leader, as well as the foundation of personal growth. After all, if the sphere of personal responsibility expands, then the person improves as an individual, and as a leader, his field of influence, power, significance in society, as well as opportunities grows. And other way around, the less the person assumes responsibility and performs obligations, the less is their importance, opportunities, real power, etc.
So, can you call yourself a responsible person?
